Rachel Parker

Hello! I’m Rachel, a surface pattern designer living in the UK with my sproodle dog Louie. I love to create designs that are bursting with colour and hopefully make you smile! I always try to create something every day if at all possible (I’m happiest when I’m drawing in my sketchbook). I find inspiration everywhere, from museums and archives to daily walks with the dog. Flowers and abstract shapes feature heavily in my work, so I’m always on the lookout for things that might spark an idea – a plant, an interesting texture, a shadow, you never know what might be the springboard into the next piece of work, and that’s why I love what I do!I’m lucky to have seen my patterns on everything from rugs to tables to coffee cups, but it’s textiles where my heart truly lies. I absolutely love seeing other people’s creativity shine through when they create something with one of my fabrics, they really make the design come alive.
